Saving Our Democracy (past event)

Working 32 years as the US Congresswoman for our district–Anna Eshoo will share her wisdom for our fraught times. She (among countless other programs) brought electric trains to the Peninsula, fought for AI regulations before we even knew what AI was, established the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), a new agency dedicated to biomedical research. The Senate in August ’25 voted to keep it funded–a break from Trump and RFK Jr who wanted it defunded. It gives grants for high-impact health research & development.
